When to use?

• When you have a build-up of unsightly foam and froth on the surface of your pond which is due to an excess of protein in the water.
• Foamclear will breakdown the froth, allowing good gas exchange between the water and air and helping to maintain the correct pH.

How to use?

• Shake bottle well.
• Mix the correct dose in a clean bucket of pond water, add gradually, pouring evenly around the pond.
• If there is a lot of foam constantly present, check the efficiency of the biological filtration system using NT Labs Ammonia and Nitrite Test Kits, and reduce the amount of food fed. Also add Mature to boost the activity of the filter system, and perform a partial water change.

Q: How often can I dose Pond Foam Control? A: The simple answer to this question is that you can use this product as and when you need to. The thing to bare in mind is that the build-up of foam will be happening as a result of an excess of protein in the water, if this is a one-off event then it’s probably not too much to worry about and a one-off dose of Foam Control should solve the problem. If the build-up of foam becomes a more regular occurrence, then it may indicate that there is an underlying issue such as the filter is not coping with the amount of waste being produced by the fish in which case you may need to look at the amount of food being fed or possibly increasing the frequency and amount of partial water changes on the pond.
